Learning Digital Painting

I've only recently started to get used to painting digitally. Painter is just too much, and I keep turning back to Photoshop, I can use my image editing experience there as well. With these painting I've started to do work that isn't completely repellant though still rough.

A couple sketches, a film concept, a couple 'poster' concepts, and a painting to try and get skin colour the way I want it.  Started editing brushes and have a fondness for the dual brush and colour dynamics functions. Otherwise a mix of Medders and IDrawGirls brushes.

Vertical Village Movie Poster Designs

The designs for the Vertical Village film poster evolved from my thumb-nails and through collaboration.
My initial inspiration came from the book The Modernist, which is present in the more graphic designs.
The final design used a more moody approach to colour and introduced photographic imagery. These designs better indicated to the potential audience the world the film exists in, which is psychological-drama and horror.
I also did the storyboards for this film.
