Part of an idea I am developing, music also by me. Combination of photographs, hand-drawn characters coloured in PS (lip-sync also done is PS) and then put together in AE . Used as part of a module which I also created this DVD intro for...

Some of the illustrations I did as part of a National Diploma project, designing a Health and Safety booklet for the college.

A few examples of pages from my ND Design for Print final major project, and also the T-shirt designs I did to go along with the book. I used a combination of hand-drawn illustrations, Illustrator, Photoshop and Quark.

Some examples of illustration work I undertook during my National Diploma in design for Print. Drawn by hand and then coloured in Photoshop.

After Effects trial. Just wanted to see what I could do with a photo cut up in PS. Separated the building, sky and railings, brought it into AE, looping the railings, and added some newspaper collage stuff for trees and hills. Did some enhancing in Photoshop afterwards aswell, including saturation and creating the fade in/out. Bit dark here unfortunately.

Walk Cycle 2

Another walk cycle for the 'Urban' animation, waiting to be coloured.

Comp Studies Animatic

Did this for my live action Complementary Studies project. I was trying to find an interesting way of integrating super 8 film, and I wanted to use projections in some way. Doing the animatic helped me plan out exactly what I'll need, as far as locations, sounds, compositing and animation work, etc.

Character Designs

These are the character and background designs. I started off drawing her in pencil (colouring in Photoshop) but it looked too soft for what I was trying to achieve in the final animation. So I swapped to biro.

Here she is woddling (and partly sliding) through town toward her flat. Composited in After Effects.

First Walk Cycle

Biro and Photoshop. Meant to be an old lady for an animation.

Bad Showreel of Exercises

These are some of the initial exercises we did at college, including animating to sound, cycles and rotoscoping.

Edited together with Adobe Premiere CS3

My First LipSync

Here's my little talking bear. Thanks to Dave Lifton for his vocal talents.
