The Videos below document the evolution of the characters performance for scene 13. Originally intended to be a short sharp emergence from the shadows, this performance came to seem too macho, rooted in Predator style body language and posturing. The final shot condensed more layers into the performance: it is animal becoming man, but also like a child taking their first steps. The latter introducing an element of innocence to the character which is truer to the complexities I intended to be woven into the film.
